This weekend's event at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, marks the first time since January 2010 that David Thilenius will not be at the helm of one of our C360R Honda Civic Si's. He's making steady progress in recovering from the six broken ribs he suffered in the Grand-Am season opener at Daytona, but told us he's now officially tired of being sore. We've posted the above video, celebrating his 2010 championship run with Lawson Aschenbach as a "hurry up and get better" encouragement.
The folks from Slime had a great introduction to the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge at Laguna Seca, as the primary sponsor of the #74 C360R Honda Civic Si of Andrew Novich (above right) and Adam Burrows (left).
Our friends at Honda Performance Development recently released this video, featuring team driver Ryan Eversley and our crewman Steve Spantadakis, of the transformation of one of their stock Civic Si's into a race-winning C360R race car. The video was highlighted on Motorsport.com this week as well.
Team drivers Todd Lamb and Ryan Winchester report on the second World Challenge race at Mid-Ohio, a rain-soaked affair that saw the duo take a hard-fought 1-2 finish, pushing Lamb back into the championship hunt and solidifying Winchester's third-place spot.
Enjoy a lap with Andrew Novich as he pilots C360R's #74 Belissima Be Beautiful/ Slime / Honda Performance Development/ Civic SI around Thunderbolt Raceway at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ. Andrew's lap was good to put #74 sixth on the grid for the Continental Tire Challenge race, notching the highest qualifying position the team's new 2012 Civic so far in Grand-Am competition.
Enjoy what promises to be the first in a series of videos throughout the year from TrueCar promoting their "Women Empowered" racing program, which features C360R driver Shea Holbrook, alongside a number of other top female drivers competing in a variety of racing series. IndyCar pilot Katherine Legge is featured... we make no secret that we're doing our best to have Shea finish out the year as top competitor... #yougogirl
Andrew Novich, driver of our Grand-Am #74 Honda Civic Si recently posted this video of his fine footwork during one lap of Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama, prior to the race, in which he and co-driver Adam Burrows notched a 10th place result. Andrew promises he'll be doing one of these every race weekend this year, so stay tuned!
